This is the official web site of the research project on "Solar and Wind Energy Resource Assessment in Oman".This project is conducted by members of the Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) Renewable and Sustainable Energy Research Group (RASERG) and is fully sponsored by The Research Council (TRC) in Oman.
The project's main investigators are Dr. Adel Gastli (SQU, College of Engineering, Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering) and Dr. Yassine Charabi (SQU, College of Arts and Social Sciences, Department of Geography).

The research team has payed a visit to Dhofar Region and preciseley to Salalah, Qairoon Hiriti and Thamrait to investigate the selected land for Wind Mast Installation. The team met with representatives from the local Authorities in order to get permission for using the selected land for wind mast installation.
